It has begun! The first Art Symposium of many to come hosted by our friend Mary. This year, the artists from Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Chile, Bulgaria, Ireland, England, Australia and Denmark are producing something out of steel or iron. They have 6 days to create an amazing sculpture, but they didn't get off to a great start. The first two days, there were some delays which meant that some of them couldn't get started. But the biggest issue has been the extreme heat. It has been sooo hot for them, being outside in 95 degrees and having to weld and grind and whatever else they do. Luckily, after a few days they've gotten used to the heat and they've all made good progress.
Here's some pics from the park by the sea where the symposium is held.
